The powerful new Olympus AS-7000 digital transcription kit combines with the latest professional range of Olympus digital dictaphones the Olympus DS-7000 and DS-3500 to provide a complete, end-to-end business solution. Featuring a redesigned, four-button USB foot control pedal (RS-31), transcription headset and next-generation Olympus Dictation Management System (ODMS) software, the Olympus AS-7000 is designed to be integrated into the workflow of any office system to significantly streamline data sharing and distribution of dictations between professionals, departments and office locations.

The Olympus AS-7000 is the replacement for the recently superceded AS-5000 digital transcription kit. The AS-7000 can be used with the following digital voice recorders and dictaphones:

  • Current Pro range - Olympus DS-7000, DS-3500, DS-2500
  • Previous Pro range - Olympus DS-5000, DS-3400, DS-2400
  • Philips & Grundig dictaphones that record in .dss or .ds2 audio format
  • Older Olympus DS-4000, DS-3400 digital dictaphones
  • All WS series digital note takers
  • All LS series digital music recorders
  • All VN series recorders from the PC range
  • All DM series recorders

Works With Dragon NaturallySpeaking                                                                        

With ODMS Olympus have integrated features to link in with Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Professional version) from Nuance to further increase transcription productivity. For single speaker audio (only one person dictating in an audio file) let Dragon do all the hard work and transcribe the audio for you. Streamlined Workflow

Special email and FTP functions allow dictation files to be automatically routed to predetermined locations or addresses upon downloading. Dictation files are automatically sorted by sender upon receipt, and document files are automatically entered into the workflow.

Advanced Organisational Tools

Created document files are automatically managed in association with dictation files (Windows only).

Multiple Audio Format Playback

DSS Pro (.ds2 files), DSS (.dss), WMA (Windows Media Audio), .MP3 and .WAV and .AIFF (Mac) / .AIF (Windows) audio formats can all be played in the background while using your favourite word processing software or specialised client or patient management software.

USB Foot Switch Control

A redesigned, ergonomic, four-button foot switch allows for hands-free control of the playback process.

Expanded FTP Support

The next-generation AS-7000 Transcription Kit supports passive mode and SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocols (Windows only).

Enhanced Compatibility

The AS-7000 Transcription Kit features support for Citrix and Terminal Service, improved compatibility with Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking software (Premium/Professional & Legal versions) and file sharing via ODMS and Olympus DSS Player Pro R5.

Improved Transcription

Specialised transcription tools include background dictation notification support and a transcribing “time remaining” indicator (Windows only).
